TRIBE NINE to end service on November 27

Closure announcement comes less than three months after game's launch.

Free-to-play “extreme action RPG” TRIBE NINE will end service on November 27, publisher and developer Akatsuki Games announced.

TRIBE NINE launched for PC via Steam, iOS, and Android on February 20, meaning the closure announcement was made less than three months after the game’s release.

All previously scheduled updates, including the release of Chapter 4 and new playable characters Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, have also been canceled.

Here is the full message from Akatsuki Games on the game’s end of service:

Thank you for continuing to play TRIBE NINE.
We regret to inform you that service for TRIBE NINE will be terminated on November 27, 2025 JST.

Since the game’s launch, the development and operation teams have strived to provide excellent service and improve player experience. However, after careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to end the game’s service.
We are unfortunately unable to deliver Chapter 4 of the story, which we had previously announced.
We apologize for the sudden nature of this announcement to our players.
Information regarding the service termination schedule and any related procedures will be made through in-game notices and on the official website.
Regarding Future Updates and New Content
As of May 14, 2025 at 22:00:00 GMT-8, all scheduled updates and new content releases have been canceled.
Additionally, new features, adjustments, and known-issue fixes previously announced via in-game notices will not be implemented.
Regarding Unreleased Characters
With the termination of service, the addition of Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba to the game, which were originally scheduled on the roadmap, will also be canceled.
Due to this change, the consumption of Paid Enigma Entities used to unlock Armed Support and Advanced Support, as well as to purchase Contract Levels for “Support Contract – Revenio,” where Saizo Akiba’s Skin could be acquired, will be refunded.
Refunds for Paid Enigma Entities will commence after “Support Contract – Revenio” ends.
Purchases of Items within the App or through the Web Store
As of May 14, 2025 at 22:00:00 GMT-8, paid Enigma Entities and Daily Passes will no longer be sold.
*Enigma Entities will continue to be available for use even after May 14, 2025 at 22:00:00 GMT-8.
